Our latest featured store is Scrapbook Depot  in San Carlos, CA. where we interviewed owner Carina Neumann.  We were thrilled to hear that there was a store that was open in San Mateo County since we knew that there was a real need for one in that area. One of our regular Gotta Cropper's Cheryl from Redwood City is now an instructor there, and we've heard that you  shouldn't miss her classes, they're a real treat.  Best wishes to you and your store Carina!  Make sure when you are on the Peninsula you stop by to visit Scrapbook Depot and tell them Gotta Crop! sent you!

Where is Scrapbook Depot and how long have you been there?
Scrapbook Depot is located at 889 Laurel Street in downtown San Carlos.  The store opened 6 months ago and has become the highlight of San Carlos.

Why did you decide to open a scrapbooking store?
There was a tremendous need for a scrapbook specialty store on the peninsula.  I have always wanted to start my own business and decided this is the time.  My customers show so much enthusiasm.  They are excited to finally have a store close to them.

What kind of products do you carry in your store?
Everything you could possibly need.  We have over 500 patterned papers, a wall covered in stickers, all the newest embellishments and of course there are items you can only find in my store.

What product are you most excited about right now?  We just brought in a new line of accent die cut stickers from Meri Meri. They are absolutely beautiful.  Come in and check them out!

Do you offer any classes or crops?
We offer a variety of classes.  We have a series of beginner classes as well as page layout classes, embellishment classes, and technique classes.  Our Friday night Crop and Shops are our workshops, which are held every Friday night from 6 p.m. - 12 a.m.  We have a great time sharing ideas and having a great time.  Our Crop and Shops sell out on most Fridays so make sure to sign up ahead of time.

Where do you see the future of scrapbooking heading?
IThe industry is growing at a tremendous rate.  I think that this type of hobby that you can continue to do through out your lifetime.  It is such a great way to document your life and memories.

Thanks Carina, see you in San Carlos
