FINALLY!!! RUN, don't walk, to your local store and pick up a copy of the October 21st issue of Newsweek Magazine! At our July Gotta Crop! in Pacifica, Newsweek photographed us and there is a picture of Judy, Kelle and Barbara with an article about scrapbooking. There is also a picture of an unidentified, nicely manicured hand with scissors...we would love to know who that is. We can't wait to scrapbook this!
Lodi Harvest Crop - Thanks to everyone who attended! We met many new friends whom we hope to see again soon. Special thanks to Memories for the Making, Tinker's Crop Room, Quincy from Q's World and Ann from Creative Memories. We love doing the one day events and hope to bring you more next year at various locations.
Lake
Tahoe, as always, was just beautiful! The trees are just starting to
turn and the lake was crystal blue. What a fun group of ladies and one gentleman
(James, who won the pajama contest and entertained us with a magic show during
lunch). Grand prizes were won by Kathi of San Ramon and Marta of Rio
Vista. Plenty of goodies were had by everyone else. 
Our theme party was costumes, and anything went. We seemed to have an
invasion of mice!! There were Minnie Triplets and 3 Blind Mice (Jen,
Shelly and Nicky won the best costume prize for that one), some witches, and
walking scrapbook pages, just to name a few. Congratulations to Mellany!
She is getting married in August and had her bachelorette party at the
getaway. Special thanks to Beth at Scrapbook

Stephanie with Creative Memories, Cori from Bee Impressed and Quincy from Q's
World for being our wonderful vendors. Fabulous classes were taught by
our top notch instructors, Trina and Judy. Finally, thanks to Scott, our
Massage Therapist. Ahhhhh....! We can't forget our Queen
of the Gotta Crop! Lisa from Sacramento with her breathtaking heritage
pages. She won a basket full of goodies from our Queen of the Crop
sponsor, Scrapbook U of Fremont, and a
tiara from Scrapbook Diva. We had
such a great time in Tahoe, that we are planning another getaway at this
location in April. Look for more information coming soon.
Don Blue in the Morning! Right before our Lake Tahoe trip, Shelly, a Gotta Crop! Tahoe attendee, decided to play a little prank on her friend Jen. She called Star 101 FM (101.3FM) in San Francisco and decided to "BLUEPER" her about Lake Tahoe. The morning DJ, Don Blue, called Jen and said he was from the Tahoe Seasons Resort in Tahoe and that her credit card was declined and since the event was sold out, she would not be able to attend. Well..Jen, the was not fooled and knew it was Don Blue!! Don wanted to know more about this "scrapbook getaway" and when Jen and Shelly told him, he made a comment that we should all get a life!! WELL..that's when the phone calls to Star 101 started from women from all over who scrapbooked, as well as from husbands of croppers to tell Don Blue a thing or two about scrapbooking. It was the topic of conversation all morning and Don admitted he learned a lot and was quite impressed. While in Tahoe, Jen and Shelly's table put together a layout about Gotta Crop! She will be presenting it to Don Blue along with an invitation for him to come to the Pacifica Gotta Crop! in November. If you're in the S.F. Bay Area, keep listening. We hope to hear more from Don Blue in the morning this following week. A very special thanks Jen and Shelly for mentioning Gotta Crop to Star 101. We can't wait to see what happens!

Pacifica in March is Sold Out! - In one day, that's a Gotta Crop record! We do have a waiting list available in case of cancellations. Don't despair, we will be opening our July Pacifica Gotta Crop! very soon.
Amendment to Cancellation Policy - Please look at our amended policy in regards to roomies and cancellations. This policy will be in effect for everyone who registered after October 14th.
GO GIANTS!! GO ANGELS!!!!! - A World Series in the Golden State!! So who will it be?? We at Gotta Crop! are Giants fans, but I know many Gotta Croppers will be shaking their Rally Monkeys and rooting for the Angels. May the best team (cough..Giants) win! We expect to see many wonderful World Series layouts in the upcoming months.
Oh, did we mention?...WE ARE IN NEWSWEEK!! (we are not too excited)
