Welcome to all of our new members from the Bay Area Scrapbook Expo!! Thanks to all who stopped by our booth and a VERY special thanks to all of you who joined in the Gotta Crop! spirit and wore your T Shirts. What an awesome site that was to see all of the Gotta Croppers at the Expo. As I am sure you all heard, because of popular demand there will be another Scrapbook Expo in San Jose, March 7th & 8th, 2003 so we'll see you all again soon.
CONGRATULATIONS to Bev from Brentwood, CA. Bev wins a Scrapbook Getaway to Carmel by the Sea in January. Her getaway includes lodging at the Carmel Mission Inn, most of her meals, unlimited use of our Dream Center, her reserved cropping spot from Friday at 1:00pm-Sunday at 12:00pm, and all the other fun and games that come with a Gotta Crop! getaway. See you in Carmel Bev!!
It's HARVEST TIME IN LODI...Lodi Harvest Crop - By popular demand we will be having another one day event in Lodi, October 5th, Saturday 10:00am-9:00pm. The cost for the day is only $50.00 and it includes your scrapping area (1/2 of a 8 ft table), unlimited use of our Dream Center, shopping with our vendors, lunch, dinner, snacks and all the usual fun that goes with a Gotta Crop Event. Memories for the Making in Lodi will be giving us 10% off (certain items may not apply) at their store for Gotta Crop! attendees only. On October 6th, Lodi has their bi annual Street Faire downtown which is lots of fun and a great way to get a jump on the Christmas shopping season. Make it a mini getaway weekend! We are always looking for new services that we can bring to our Getaways to make your Ultimate Scrapper's Getaway experience more awesome. Here's a few that we will be adding on a regular basis starting with Palm Springs:
Album Engraver - you put all that hard work in making your albums, why not give it that very special finishing touch by engraving your albums? Bring those albums in that you've been working on for Christmas or for special Grandparent gifts. Besides engraving words our engravers will carry special dies for Baby, Family or even Disney.
Scanning Services - Are you like me? I like to scan my layouts to post them online or to send them to magazines but I HATE having to scan the 12 x 12 only to have to stitch it and it never comes out just the way I want it to. Now at our Getaways we'll have Q Tech joining us, who will be scanning your layouts with a special 12 x 16 scanner (no stitching..yeah!) to give you high quality, seamless scans. They will put them all on a CD for you to share with others on the internet or to give as gifts. They will also have printing services available if you need a hard copy of your layout. All at a very reasonable cost and all done while you are at the Getaway.

The Gotta Crop Shop! now carries those Italian Charms you've seen at our Getaways. Please read our Tips about Composing a Charm Bracelet. This will give you ENDLESS ideas of different types of bracelets to create. Perfect for gifts! Gotta Crop is now having made exclusively for us a Scrapbooking Charm, available soon, to add to your scissors, camera and of course your Gotta Crop! bee!
Palm Springs attendees, just a reminder that today is your due date for your final payments. Our Creative Memories Consultant, Angie Bogdan is offering a special 10% pre sale if you order anything from her before September 7th for the Getaway. You can email her at abogdan@qualcomm.com to order and have it delivered to you at the Getaway.
Lake Tahoe attendees, we are working now on our Welcome Packets to be mailed next week and classes will be available for you to register online on Tuesday, September 3rd.
Pacifica, July attendees...we are still waiting..and waiting! Apparently Dr. Phil (of Oprah fame) is more important then scrapbooking!!!!! We'll keep you posted.
We have our new ad in Creating Keepsakes Magazine, the October issue. After it went to press we did change the dates for our Jackson and Palm Springs events for next year. Here are the correct dates for next year's Gotta Crop's!

Lastly, we are approaching 9/11. As scrapbookers we have the unique ability to keep records of our feelings about what happened through our layouts for future generations. Let us share those reflections with our county's leaders and others that have helped us through this past year by joining Gotta Crop! and our friends at PC Crafter with their Never Forget Campaign. Sign your name as a tribute to those who perished and those who live everyday with the effects of that one tragic day. There is also a forum where you can talk to others about what happened and share you feelings, your fears and your hopes. PC Crafter will also offer on September 1st a full art set for you to download for free. They are making this available so you can use it to make gifts and cards to take to your local fire fighters, police officers, EMT's etc. What happened on 9/11 could have happened anywhere and it is great to know that there are 1000's of men and women ready to protect, defend and comfort us. Please pass this site on to your family and friends.
