Happy Summer from Gotta Crop!  We hope you are out in the sun making beautiful memories with your families and finding time to scrapbook too! Which we guess would mean making beautiful memories FOR you family!

Now for our big announcement!  Gotta Crop is being featured in the current August issue of Woman's Day in an article about women who turned their hobbies into a business.  We are very excited to be in such a wonderful publication.  Go out and check out a copy that is in newsstands now! We also have in the works with Woman's Day for a special Scrapbooking publication that they will be putting out in September, a Gotta Crop! giveaway for two, plus many other fabulous prizes.  We'll keep you posted on how you can register to win.

Gotta Crop expansion plans - Right now plans to expand all over the United States are in the works and we hope to have new getaways locations near you by 2004.  Keep watching our website and newsletter for more details.

Under Construction, The Gotta Crop Shop! - Well, it's taking a little longer then we anticipated, but it's coming along.  You can shop at the Gotta Crop Shop now, we are adding new product daily.  You'll find Italian Charms and Custom Charms like before and we've added a plethora of scrapbooking products!  Some of the lines that we will be carrying, Paper Bliss, Magic Scraps, 7 Gypsies, Sonnets by Sharon Soneff, Boxer Productions, Moonlight Designs, Making Memories, Karen Foster...just to name a few.  Keep watching our progress!

Pacifica and Las Vegas - Both events are just a few weeks away!  Don't forget for Pacifica, we'll be scrappin tropical style and to the sounds of the islands on Saturday night.  In Vegas, Saturday will be a Mardi Gras BASH!  We can't wait to see what you scrappers come up with. And of course for both events our standard PJ night on Friday. We have alot of wonderful prizes and surprises planned, we can't WAIT!  We are catching up with all our email and phone calls in regards to these two events (questions about final payments and class registration) and will get to everyone by Monday afternoon.  Thanks for your patience.

Jackson in May - A great time was had at the Jackson Rancheria in Jackson, Ca! The staff at this resort was just incredible which made the getaway experience even better.  We hope to be returning several times next year to this wonderful venue.  We had an awesome group of scrappers join us for our non stop cropping getaway weekend.  For those who are new to our newsletter, we have a Queen of the Gotta Crop contest at every getaway. Each attendee puts in their favorite layout that they worked on during that weekend.  Everyone then votes for the layout they like the best.  The layout with the most votes wins Queen of the Gotta Crop!  You can see our previous winners in our Royal Court, along with our Jackson winner Sherry Laffoon from Ceres, CA. She won a beautiful tiara donated by www.scrapbookdiva.com and tons of scrapbooking goodies from Picture me Perfect home of the Bay Area Scrappers.(check out their website for a real cool photo of all their members who attended this event).  Saturday night was Hollywood Night!  Gotta Crop rolled out the red carpet as we scrapped to our favorite movie tunes.  Fiddleedee...Scarlet O Hara and Mammy from Gone with the Wind (Teri Busby and Vanessa O Neal) joined us for our evening of fun.  They both received a brand new Crop in Style Backpack for playing their parts so well. Although Mammy would not let us see her red petticoat, I guess that's just for Mr. Rhett!  Also making guest star appearances Pamela Anderson, Cher and Anna Nicole Smith. Thanks to our wonderful instructors, Judy, Betsy, and Betty, Martha our Creative Memories consultant, our massage therapist Scott and Gigi for making us look BEEutiful.  We hope everyone has a chance to attend Jackson next year.

Lake Tahoe in April - Of course one of our favorite getaway locations did not disappoint!  We were all treated to the most wonderful snowstorm (yes, in the middle of spring!).  The locals were even caught by surprise as is turned out to be the most spring snow they had seen in years.  We were stranded (oh dear, snowed in at a resort hotel with nothing to do but scrapbook!) in our mountain hideaway as fresh snow fell on the trees as we watched from the warmth of our crop room.  What a beautiful site.  It was a great, relaxing weekend that we will never forget.  We got to know the ladies that attended really well, which is our favorite part of every getaway! Our theme night for Saturday was Red, White and Blue. Uncle Sam (Lisa Turner) and Uncle Sam (Pam Burt) along with runner ups, mom and daughter Julie and Victoria Gaines won some great scrapbooking goodies for showing their American and British spirit! Our Queen of the Gotta Crop! went to Lisa Turner for her creative camping layout.  Her tiara from www.scrapbookdiva.com fit just right on her big red, white and blue top hat.  Thanks to all the wonderful ladies who braved the snow storm, our instructors Trina, Betsy and Beth from Scrapyard 329, Creative Memories, Jill and John our massage therapists, and the staff at the Tahoe Seasons Resort.  If you've been wanting to go to a Lake Tahoe Gotta Crop now is your chance.  We have a few spaces left for our October event.  You will LOVE IT!

We have limited space left for the following getaways:

Lake Tahoe - October

Long Beach - October

Have a enjoyable, safe summer and we will see YOU at a getaway soon!

As Pamela, Cher Anna Nicole and Sugarpie say:
